It’s really a surprise (good) to us that we found really decent authentic food at Mocha Town in Newark while almost every friend told me the best America food is in Newark (we tried 2 restaurants with 4.5+ rate, neither impressed us). Now, I’ll have to disagree with them. The most precious matter we enjoyed is the detail attention the chef dedicated to the food.
This place was more an experience than a meal. Some of the food was a little out there for me, but it was well prepared, the staff was friendly and attentive, and I got to try some things I would never have otherwise. Had an amazing experience here. I loved that everything was made in a traditional way, while using good quality ingrediants. I also really enjoyed the comfortable atmosohere and excellent service. I will come again when I visit Newark.
Hungry on my way home after a full day of walking through the streets of Newark, I stumbled over this place. It was packed with people, but I did not have to wait Long. The Staff was very friendly and the food excellent. The vegetables were crispy and perfectly cooked, the sauce delicious and tasty. I hope I’ll find this place again.
